This product has an incredibly short usage life
The Xerox Phaser 6125 appeared to be a very cost effective purchase for home use, with impressive usage performance; unfortunately the monthly 1,500 regular and 40,000 duty cycle were vastly exaggerated by Xerox. My Xerox printer has only managed to produce 3,835 pages, mostly letters or student project reports and no photos, an average of 80 pages per month, equivalent to 5 percent or 12 weeks of the advertised 1,500 monthly average capability.
After precisely four years, not an exceptional age for a quality printer, the imaging unit failed, despite Xerox claiming it is a Long-Life Item, and Typically Not Required At Average Usage Levels, the replacement cost being equivalent to the purchase price of the printer.
Xerox technical support were perfectly satisfied that a Xerox component described as Long-Life should fail after having produced a little over 2 months equivalent average output.
This is my first Xerox purchase and if a typical Xerox product only achieves 5 percent of its advertised capability it will be my last Xerox purchase.

Great Quality and yet Inexpensive
Very easy to setup for both XP and Windows 7 love the quality even on plain paper.

Average product for an average price
We bought this printer because of the brand reputation and the good price and realized soon enough we got what we paid for. On printing colored photos, the quality isn't that great, our inkjet, by another brand, can do a better job. Everytime it runs out of paper it says paper jam instead of saying out of paper so you'd have to open and close the printer cover after you load more paper before the printer starts again.
On the pro side it gives you enough warning when an ink is low. Just make sure you replace it when it runs out coz then it will not print anything unless you've replaced the empty cartridge.
Great for black and white not impressive on color.

I love this printer! The colors are beautiful. The pricing was reasonable. I price compared and this printer from Xerox was a better deal than the HP color laser. My only wish is that the printer manufacturers would put in full size toner cartridges and not the trial size. They would sell more printers and still get the big bucks for the toner also. As we all know the toner is what costs with laser printers. Though Xerox toner is less than HP! You will not be unhappy with printer!

Great Printer
Thousands of flawless pages printed and has never hiccupped.
In two years of weekly use and through dozens of printer cartridges color and speed have been amazing. This is the Best printer I have ever owned hands down.

Has its good points and its not so good
The 6125 is a great unit providing excellent copy at a respectable speed. Once up and running it's low maintenance and th replacement of ink cartridges is a snap without any mess.
Hooking up to the USB was done flawlessly and within minutes, however establishing it over a network seemed to be more complex and it didn't stay consistently up, so I ended up putting it back on the USB, not my first choice.
The other challenge is a common one with most printers which is the menu structure.
I respect they want to keep the buttons down, but the menu/return and arrows has you flipping through the menu tree trying to find the right screen the rare times you attempt anything.
Xerox needs to get real people to look at that and not their tech heads.

THE BEST PRINTER I HAVE EVER OWNED
THE 6125 IS THE BEST PRINTER I HAVE EVER OWNED. I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE EASE OF CHANGING TONER CARTIGES, SIMPLE INSTALLATION, NO PAPER JAMS AND INITIAL COST , JUST TO NAME A FEW.
