Phaser™ 7760 4.4 5 88 94 A great improvement from the 7700 From the purchasing to the setup, Xerox executed this printer well. This printer is so easy to setup. Works great on both Macs and PCs, again, great support from Xerox. This printer's color is very close and it's default setting is right on. The optional rolling paper stand is invaluable! The paper manual feed can be a bit picky, but otherwise have no had problems with the paper feed. One glitch that I notice is using this on Mac OS 10.4 below. This printer can handle multiple jobs, but Mac OS 10.4 will cause this printer to print all the postscript instructions rather than executing them, 80-pages of postscripts gibberish. January 10, 2012 Becareful moving the printer We only had it a week, but here is my take on things. PRO's: It is VERY fast, and color is great. Installing the print drivers on a network print server (had to download the 64 bit versions not on the cd), was easy. CONs: The online user manual is very minimal especially when trying to troubleshoot problems. Very noisy compared to our other 6200 phaser. It seems to go through the color blocks (instead of toner) faster than our 6200 for the same number of sheets printed. BE VERY CAREFUL when moving this printer. You can't just flip the power switch off and the printer turns off then move it. When you switch the PS off a menu will come up and ask you if you want to shutdown or shutdown and park print head. Then you have to wait for the thing to cool down. Don't move it until you have followed the procedures in the manual or it will cost you $$. December 8, 2011 Proofing speed and quality makes the Phaser a go-to printer! Starting with the 7700 series, my company has relied on the Phasers so much, that we now basically refer to the prints as "phasers". We used to refer to the same proofs as lasers.... That should indicate the significance, of your product! October 27, 2011 Phaser 7760 DX just keeps on printing! We've had a total of 3 Phaser 7760DXs in our office. We leased one for 3 years and after only having 2 services calls over that time, we decided to buy 2 for our company. The two we purchased have been just as stellar. We have some higher end printers that print better quality, but really the quality is awesome on these for the price. We buy supplies and billable parts - it's very easy to replace everything on your own, assuming you have at least some troubleshooting skills. We really run our Phasers through the rings, so it's very durable and I'd recommend it to any business that needs pretty good quality color printing. We are a company of about 150 people. October 27, 2011 Phaser 7760 - Maintains great color Our Phaser 7760 really is the workhorse in our office. There is hardly a minute where it's left idle. While we are not critical of the color for the work we are doing, I have noticed that the Phaser maintains consistent color from start to finish. It also does a good job of processing the larger pdf's we throw at it (often over 300 mb a piece). Solid machine. October 27, 2011 Parts The machine runs great but now it is hard to get parts for it.
