Richard is solutions director, Xerox International Transportation and Government Group. In this position Richard is the subject matter expert on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and responsible for a range of activities including business development, marketing, strategy and thought leadership.

Prior to joining Xerox in 2011, Richard was the director of Intelligent Transport Systems with Logica, and held senior level positions in several leading international consulting engineering companies.

Richard is internationally recognised as a leading expert in Intelligent Transport Systems. He is a member of the board of directors of the International Road Federation, chairman of the ERTICO Traffic and Transport Industry sector, the International Director of ITS U.K. and represents the U.K. in the World Road Association Technical Committee on Network Operations.

Richard is an accomplished and in demand public speaker with a special ability to communicate complex issues to a wide range of audiences in an understandable way without over-simplifying or trivialising the issues. He was awarded the prestigious ITS U.K. Rees Hill Award for outstanding contribution to ITS by a U.K. professional.
