Rethinking document services leads to better processes and lower costs for Leonardo UK

The Customer: Headquartered in Rome and employing more than 45,000 people worldwide, Leonardo is a key global player in aerospace, defense and security.

The Challenges: As part of its digital transformation strategy, Leonardo UK wanted to break down document and data management silos in order to reduce costs and improve both process efficiency and risk management.

The Solution: Leonardo UK brought its print room, reprographics, technical publications library and distribution, and data control center into a single function. We provide Capture and Content Services for efficient scanning and digital archiving, and innovative print technology including wide format and 3D.

The Benefits: Leonardo benefits from improved data accessibility that's more secure, auditable and compliant. In the first year it made savings of 45% on scanning, 51% on print, and 20% on paper; while scanning was 46% faster overall, and print and finishing 80% faster. Investment in 3D printing paid for itself in less than a year.

The Testimonials: "To maintain and evolve our performance at the cutting-edge of aerospace and defense technology, we need to innovate without losing sight of security and regulatory requirements. From document digitisation to 3D printing, Xerox is helping us do that."
